Please be aware that you might observe slight variations in your HAVEN blankets, and these differences can be attributed to variations in yarn densities. These variations, while minor, can influence various aspects of the product's characteristics, such as dimensions, colour, thickness, and texture.
The reason for these variations lies in the natural differences that can occur in the density of the yarn used during the manufacturing process. Yarn density refers to how tightly or loosely the individual yarn fibers are woven or spun together to form the fabric. Even within the same batch of yarn or across different batches, there can be subtle discrepancies in yarn density.
As a result, while we strive to maintain consistent quality, these inherent variations in yarn density may lead to slight differences in the final appearance and feel of our products. Rest assured that these variations are part of the unique charm of traditionally made textile products and do not compromise their overall quality or functionality. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the individual character that each blanket may possess.
CARE
Gentle Washing
Hand wash or use a washing machine with a delicate or wool cycle. Use cold water to prevent shrinking and avoid agitation.
Mild Detergent
Use a mild, pH-balanced wool detergent or a gentle soap to clean wool garments. Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners.
Avoid Overwashing
Wool doesn't need frequent washing. Spot clean small stains whenever possible, and only wash when necessary.
Temperature Control
Avoid extreme temperatures. Don't use hot water or place wool items in direct sunlight to dry, as it can cause shrinking and fading.
Dry Flat
Lay wool items flat on a clean towel or a drying rack to air dry. Avoid hanging them, as this can stretch the fabric.
Storage
Store wool items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use breathable garment bags or storage containers to protect them from dust and moths.
Pilling
Wool can develop small balls of fibers (pills). Use a fabric shaver or a gentle fabric brush to remove them. All our products are knitted very densely - so pilling should normally not be a problem. If you do experience problems, always reach out to us for guidance.
Steam, Don't Iron
Use a garment steamer to remove wrinkles from wool instead of ironing, which can flatten and damage the fibers.
Read Labels
Always check the care instructions on the garment's label for specific care recommendations, as some wool blends or specialty items may have different requirements.
By following these care guidelines, you can ensure that your wool items remain beautiful, vibrant, and in excellent condition for a long time.
