Uncle Otis, Toronto
Uncle Otis opened in Toronto in 1991 and has since held a central place in the city’s menswear scene. Originating in international streetwear, the shop has become known for its sustained focus on timeless, contemporary pieces and for creating a thoughtful framework for personal style.
New Interpretations
Since 2000, the store has been owned and directed by Donnell Enns, who, together with key team members Vince and Judah, continues to develop its identity. S. N. S. HERNING began collaborating with Uncle Otis in autumn 2017. From the outset the store has embraced new interpretations of knitwear and has often been among the first to introduce ideas that test and expand its possibilities.
Curation à la Toronto
In January Donnell, Vince, and Judah visited our showroom in Paris to make their curated selection of the current winter collection. The result is a small series of photographs taken along the shores of Lake Ontario, with Toronto’s skyline on the horizon.
Season’s Favorites
This season Uncle Otis highlights our knitted RADIAL jacket, the new FISHERMAN-III fisherman’s sweater, the heavy ROBUST cardigan, and the classic STARK cardigan in a deep new green. The series was photographed by the water, the place where these garments conceptually belong.
Love for the Product
In all they do, Uncle Otis and their team bring personal style and a profound love of the product. Their passion and dedication allow the garments to rise and become more beautiful. That is why Uncle Otis feels almost like family.
