100% WOOLLEN BLANKET MADE WITH ALL LOVE

All our LOYAL blankets are knitted in Denmark, sewn in Denmark, packed in a cardboard box made in Denmark. We have 5 German machines from the 1960'es, and Holger does all the knitting, while his wife, Birthe, does all the seams and packaging. The result is that using the blanket feels like getting a woollen hug. That is exactly what we strive to achieve: making a product with soul.

  • YOU NEED AN EXCELLENT KNITTER

    YOU NEED AN EXCELLENT KNITTER

Holger H. Skyt ( born 1946 ) has been knitting since he was a kid in his fathers knitting mill. Today he is doing all the knitting needed for our LOYAL blankets, every blanket is therefore the result of more than 60 years of experience. Holger is as dedicated as ever to make the machines outperform themselves - getting a better and better product every day.

  • USE ONLY THE BEST YARNS

    USE ONLY THE BEST YARNS

It is impossible to make an outstanding knitted product - if you are not using the very best yarns possible. We have partnerships with yarn manufacturers going back more than 30 years - which allows us access to the best raw materials available. All our LOYAL blankets are made from left-over yarns from our garment production, ensuring unbeatable quality.

  • KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM THE MACHINE

KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM THE MACHINE

Our old machines ( from the 1960'es ) only understand the language of the cardboard punch cards. The logic of the punch card is the communication through a secret coding system of holes, and you have to be initiated into this language to be able to control the machine. The only one we know of, who speaks the language fluently and even poetically, is Holger. His strikes with a hammer leaves holes in the cardboard - and these are then mechanically translated into movements bringing forth beauty. It is the poetry of a punched card, written by an old master.

  • YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOUR PRODUCT

YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOUR PRODUCT

Without love of a product, the man, the machine, and the material does not really mean anything. It is in fact that simple: the greatest of these is love. Not a single blanket leaves our knitting mill before it has been meticulously reviewed and checked by the wife of Holger. She has a lifetime of experience in the fine art of recognising if a piece of knitted fabric has a hidden flaw. She also handles packaging - so please be attentive when you are unboxing the blanket the first time, or call us if you cannot fit the blanket in the box again.
